Doubling of Operating Space – Expansion of Probe Repair Lab and New Showroom for Ultrasound Systems
Ortner Medizintechnik, an internationally active and ISO 13485 certified company specializing in sonography, is pleased to announce the latest expansion of its facility in Lieboch. This strategic development represents a significant milestone in the company’s continuous growth strategy and further strengthens its position as a reliable and expert partner in the medical technology sector.
Since its inception, Ortner has built a solid reputation as a leading specialist in the repair and sale of ultrasound probes and endoscopes, as well as the trading of ultrasound devices. With a strong focus on delivering the highest quality solutions tailored to the needs of clinics and medical practices, Ortner now proudly serves over 1,000 clients worldwide.
By doubling its operating space, Ortner Medizintechnik is responding proactively to the increasing demand, particularly in the field of ultrasound probe repair, while positioning itself to address the challenges of an evolving global market.
In addition, the expansion includes the creation of a cutting-edge showroom for ultrasound systems from all major manufacturers. This new facility will not only showcase the latest devices and technologies but also serve as an education and training hub for medical professionals and technical staff.

ORTNER continues to increase test options in the field of probe repair
With the acquisition of the Samsung RS80A, a radiology-dedicated premium system from Samsung Medison, we have further improved our internal testing options.
Thanks to that, following Samsung probes can now also be live-tested in our probe repair laboratory:

We define new standards in the technical documentation and analysis of ultrasound probes
From September 2021, our customers will benefit from one of the most innovative and comprehensive technologies on the market in the field of probe analysis. This allows hidden defects on the transducer to be discovered even faster and more effectively before they suffer a loss of quality or a total failure.
New ultrasound machines for probe repair laboratory
With the acquisition of further US-Machines of the type Esaote MyLab ™ Seven, Philips Affiniti 50, Samsung SonoAce X8, Samsung UGEO H60 and SonoSite M-Turbo, we are continuously expanding our portfolio of test options in the field of probe repairs.
New sales partner for ultrasound systems
Since the end of 2020 ORTNER offers a selected range of diagnostic ultrasound systems from CHISON for the D-A-CH region. We are very happy to introduce our customers to the advantages of the versatile ultrasound systems from CHISON.

Further international expansion
We have recently updated our website to include information on our probe repair services & sales in 8 new languages. These include: Portuguese, Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian, Dutch, Danish, Croatian and Finnish. Through the addition of these languages we will strive to give our new clients in the countries the best possible customer service and, at the same time, further increase our market presence in these regions.

We had a successful time exhibiting at our first medical device trade fair in Sweden. Louis Romégoux (Key Account Manager – Nordic) and Antonella Clementi (Key Account Manager – Germany) attended the Medicinteknikdagarna 2019 in Linköping, Sweden where they presented ORTNER’s ultrasound probe repair and sales service to the Nordic market. We now work with several Swedish regions – so it was a good opportunity to meet with biomedical engineers and purchasing managers from Sweden and beyond.

Ortner Medizintechnik expandiert weiter
Aufgrund der Expansion der Ortner Medizintechnik wurde bereits im März 2016 mit dem Bau des neuen Headquarters begonnen. Ab Mai 2017 steht nun insgesamt eine Fläche von über 1000 m2 auf 3 Etagen zur Verfügung. Hauptaugenmerk wurde dabei auf die Erweiterung im Bereich Labor-Sondenreparatur gelegt. Mittlerweile liefert die Ortner Medizintechnik Dienstleistungen und Produkte in über 20 Länder weltweit.
